He is just being a gentleman.

I doubt that he will get the wrong idea. He is just being a gentleman.

Even if he likes you, it is perfectly aceptable for you to accept his coat as a lady. It does not mean you like him back and he will not think so.

If he does, he has a bit of growing up to do.
