Accepting a young mans suit coat? Will it give the wrong idea?
by Anastasia

I am 17, and I go to a small church. We have a youth group of about 15 teenagers, and we are all very close friends. During the Winter, the church building and in particular, our class room, gets very cold. Every so often I will forget to bring a cardigan or blazer, and will become very cold. Everyone is aware that I get cold easily and on more then one occasion, one of the young men, who is also 17, has offered me his suit coat.
My question is, would it be appropriate for me to accept the suit coat? I would only be wearing it for that hour, and then would return it before leaving the class room.
Would it be sending out the wrong signals to him? He has expressed interest in a relationship with me, but he is not allowed to date/court until college. Although I like him very much I would rather not be in a relationship until I finish college, and can be serious about it.
I don't want to make things difficult for him, or cause grief between him and his parents. It is a rather silly question, but I just want to know what the right thing to do is.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this! This is really such a wonderful website, I find it very helpful!
