Wishing a child a Happy Birthdayby Lynn Wrench I was hoping that you could clear something up for me. My mother sends my children birthday presents, but does not call to wish them a Happy Birthday on their actual birthday. Instead, she feels that it is their duty to call her and thank her for the presents and at that point she says Happy Birthday. I, on the other hand, feel that a 7 yr old child does not understand this and only knows that Grandmom did not call. We do send thank you cards to everyone who sends us a gift. Opinions would be appreciated. |
