Vegetarian Responding to Chicken or Fish on Wedding RSVP

My wife and I have been vegetarian for over 30 years.

We recently were invited to a friends son's wedding.

On the response card card is a meal choice: chicken or fish.

We're not sure how to respond. I thought we might
write in "Vegetarian Option please." What do you think?

Information overload!

I think if I had to plan for wedding pictures, guests list, who sits where at the dinner and countless other things, more than a few things would slip my mind. Not including a vegetarian option is simply a slip of the mind. Most caterers are more than happy to accommodate vegetarians as it lightens their workload too!

I would SMS the bride/groom to let them know. Sometimes, emails don't get read in the hustle and bustle. The best would be to SMS then call a day later if they didn't respond, just to make sure know.

And you can chat abit about the wedding too! How exciting! Put a smile on their faces!

An Excellent Idea

I think that is an excellent idea to respond.

Though, you may also personally ring up which might be a better way to communicate.

Do not take offense though, because sometimes it's simply impossible to accommodate everyone in all areas of life. But at least the well mannered try harder...
