Strange situation: I know we should never point out bad manners of others but....

I recently began college with all news colleagues.
While I made a quick connection with some of them, I stay away from others because I really don't like the way they are.
One of them, a girl, I find very strange because she appears to be very childish and has attitudes that I really can“t understand. She has this habit (habit because she did this more than twice)of burping loud when near of people, like it's normal to do that. She came suddenly near of my colleagues to see their work and then she burped loud, almost like a man.
While one of my friends(girl) ignore and then laugh when the burp girl finally leave the desk, one of the boys looked very shocked. He was horrified, because of the way she behaved, as if it was absolutely normal of her to give a burp.He said that even the homeless people don't do that.
I think the girl doesn't have manners and my friend says she has (perhaps) a mental handicap, which I find very difficult because she seems to appear to have all the mental functions normal.
Should I ignore her every time she does that or I should call her attention of this matter?
