How can elegance and ballsey be spoken in the same sentence to refer to an elegant woman? Elegance is also displayed by living a moral life. Ms. Hepburn as grand as she was had a longtime affair with another woman's husband. Ladies, this was not very elegant at all.

It's interesting how there are different forms of elegance. Katherine Hepburn often wore pants, for example, instead of traditionally feminine clothing. But she always showed a great deal of class and strength in her roles. My mom is a huge Kate fan, so I grew up watching those classic films. She is also a great example of how an actress can be funny without being crude (unlike so many modern comedy films).
