It is good you are planning now as elegance is also in part preparation and excellence of execution whether that be one's ensemble, work affairs, hobby, or throwing a graduation party.

I think that sending announcements for this 1st graduation is fine, but do not send simultaneous invitations for the latter. (It appears a bit eager.) Would you send an invitation to your upcoming birthday and another in anticipation for the next? No. Or else, if so, it would be better to just create an entire events calendar and let that serve for your guests.

Since much can happen in a year/year and a half of time, it would behoove you to announce the 2nd graduation a little closer to the event (3-5 months) if only to be more certain, appear less eager and save yourself the hassle of having to send out any unexpected cancelations. (always slightly embarassing once something has been officially announced. not to mention any wasting of funds.)Besides, it is always fun to recieve an invitation. You don't want them all right up front.

If you really want to "alert" your guests about your 2nd graduation, you could send them all "Thank You" cards for attending yor 1st one and in that way let them know that you anticipate your 2nd one and hope/plan to invite them to share that future success with you as well.

Hope this helped in some way or gave you an idea. A big ocngratulations to you on your graduation!(rather, both of them) and I wish you all the very best!
